About hp omnibook 6000 and hp omnibook 6000 battery ( the same with hp f2019a battery )
This new high-octane entry in HP's line of corporate laptops wraps a thin, handsome, dark case around Intel's latest mobile processor, a Pentium III-1000. The package also includes a high-resolution screen, dual pointing devices, a giant hard drive, and a steady, easy-to-navigate keyboard. On the front of the case is a single multipurpose bay that holds a parade of optional add-ins, ranging from the included floppy drive or 8X DVD-ROM drive to a second battery, a CD-RW drive, a SuperDisk drive, a Zip drive, or an 18GB second hard drive. A combination button/slider release on the side makes it easy to hot swap media.
The Omnibook 6000 is extremely pricey, and it doesn't run appreciably faster than notebooks with slower processors. Its PC WorldBench 2000 score of 168 is only 5 points above the average for PIII-850-based systems running Windows 2000. Also, HP's skimpy support policies continue to lag behind the industry standard of unlimited free technical help.
If you specify notebook PCs for your company, Hewlett-Packard understands the complexities you face in identifying a vendor and a set of products that meet your end-user and business needs. That's why HP is committed to delivering a comprehensive notebook PC family that meets both sets of requirements. The HP OmniBook 6000 notebook PC combines all the best features of HP's current product line with an entirely new design for high-performance business computing. This notebook PC offers the reliability, compatibility, industry-leading security, and low cost of ownership your IT department can't afford to compromise, plus the performance, expandability, portability, and ergonomics your users are demanding - all in an upscale, professional-looking package they'll be proud to take with them.
The Omnibook 6000 measures a relatively diminutive 1.5 inches tall and weighs 6.5 pounds without peripherals. Despite its high-speed processor, it seems to run cooler than many laptops--after several hours' use it remained comfortable to the touch. The hp omnibook 6000 laptop battery lasts an above-average 3.3 hours. The 15-inch screen's native resolution of 1400 by 1050 will suit Web designers, graphics pros, and anyone else who needs a roomy display. It's easy to adjust the volume using the Omnibook's external controls, but its unimpressive sound keeps it from being a great multimedia machine. The smoothly designed case includes a user-upgradable hard drive (just remove two screws), a festive-looking purple eraserhead, and a slightly smaller-than-average touchpad with two sets of mouse buttons. HP now includes a floppy drive and a parallel port cable, so you can use the floppy along with another device in the bay. Documentation consists of one thin manual that covers the basics. On the desktop, HP offers links to a variety of Internet-based tools offered by HP partners for backup and synchronization.
As one of the first laptops with Intel's new 1-GHz mobile processor, the Omnibook 6000 has cachet to spare--not to mention handsomely understated looks and all the usual bells and whistles a well-heeled executive might expect in a high-end portable. Just be prepared to shell out commensurate bucks.
